What's included in your hourly rate?
Truck, two movers, blankets, dollies, shrink wrap, and floor protection are all included. No surprise fees on top of the hourly rate. We disassemble and reassemble standard furniture as part of the job.
Is there a minimum number of hours?
Yes — most local moves carry a 2-hour minimum plus travel time. You'll get the full estimate including the minimum before booking.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Elmer's Moving holds a Cal-T number with the California Bureau of Household Goods (BHGS), plus general liability and cargo insurance. CA movers are regulated by BHGS, not CSLB — many local movers don't display either, but we do.
How far in advance should I book?
1–2 weeks of lead time is comfortable. For peak season (June–August) book 4+ weeks ahead. We do take same-day bookings when crew capacity allows — call (619) 567-5497.
